Who doesn't know After Dark? It created the screensaver market in the early 90's, following the success of its older brother, Magic. Both were created by Software Dynamics, the creative minds behind the undisputed best Windows 3.x game ever created, Operation: inner space. All of these were commercially very successful, everyone used to like them.

After Dark is nothing more, nothing less than a screensaver program, packed with a bunch of original screensavers that can keep you incredibly amused for quite some time. It was well done, and it was the best (if not the only) in that market. Everyone knew it. Everyone wanted it.

There's not much more to tell. While it was originally developed by Software Dynamics, it changed hands months later, and then version 3.0 (our version) was created. Software Dynamics does sound a little bitter about it when mentioning the history of After Dark.

What matters though, is that you'll probably be the first to use it in many years, on a 10,000 meters radius. Give it a try out of curiosity, fun or simply for old times' sake.
